I will photograph mountain goats wherever I can. I watch them every time, trying to figure out how they navigate these ridges of nothing. I still don’t know. Narrow.

Yep, the image is just thumbnail size, even opened outside the post. Looks promising though.
Good grief, epic fail. I should know better than to blog in the fly. Finally made my way back to the laptop and fixed it. Doh!
I would comment, if I could see the image. I slapped my phone as close to my eyes as possible, but it’s too itty bitty!
See above…
Love love love this image!!
Thanks!
Thanks! I can’t get enough of these guys.
Great shot. These goats are incredible . . . . I’d be a nervous wreck if I was on that narrow ridge!
Me too! They leap around like dancers. Crazy.
They probably enjoy it!
They look pretty Zen about it at least! 🙂
Me too. That’s the stuff of my nightmares. I’m no goat!
Just returned from several days in Zion NP. While the crowds were off-putting, we did manage to get out of the human traffic jam a few times. Caught sight of some bighorn sheep our last morning and had the same reaction. https://curtmacdougall.wordpress.com/2016/07/29/keep-them-dogies-movin/
right on…uncredible capture! wow……….
incrediblE! i meant 2 say! 🙂
Haha! Glad you clarified. 😉
Excellent shot, Jennifer. I wonder what the younger one is thinking as it anticipates it’s next move? “Oh shit, why didn’t we go the other way?” I love the mountain goats and especially the Big Horn sheep… always exciting to see them. I think wolves and other predators have forced them to hone their skills walking the narrow ledges. Truly amazing! Thx.
The young ones always look a little skittish to me, and then seem a little surprised when they execute the moves perfectly. 🙂
Just now seeing this. The youngster looks a little leery. Great shot
Learning process, I suppose. 🙂
