Wildfire smoke in British Columbia made sunset unearthly and weird at the Salt Creek Recreation Area on Washington’s Olympic coast. I kept hoping the sun would sink below the curtain of smoke and explode onto the water, but the haze swallowed it entirely.
Even though it wasn’t what you were hoping for, it’s still a really really cool image. I haven’t been out there but I’m itching to get there. It looks absolutely photogenic.
Go, go, go! August is particularly lovely, because the lavender fields are in full bloom.
Hypnotic even if it wasn’t as spectacular as you wished. I take it you are traveling – enjoy!
Secret: I’m not! This is from last August; it’s just the sunset I remember most this year. 🙂
